Day 01: Arrive Mumbai
Welcome to Mumbai, India's capital of finance and glamour. On arrival, you are met at the international airport and transferred to your hotel. Day 02: Mumbai
Set off on a morning excursion to Elephanta Island (closed on Mondays), located 10 kms north east of Apollo Bundur. The island is home to four rock cut temples carved out out between 450 and 750 AD. The most renowned of the caves? sculptures is a Trimurthi, a three-headed 20 feet tall figure of Lord Shiva.
The afternoon sightseeing tour of Mumbai begins at The Gateway of India, Mumbai's foremost landmark overlooking the harbor, was conceived following the visit of King George V in 1911 and officially opened in 1924. A drive up to the Malabar Hill, to the HangingGardens, gives a panoramic view of the city and the Queens Necklace - the Marine Drive. The tour concludes with a drive through the Flora Fountain and Fort area and view the Gothic and Victorian style buildings. Visit the Victoria Terminus (now known as Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus) India's finest Gothic building and a bustling Railway Station. Continue drive around the Horniman Circleand visit the Town Hall, right besides the docks. Overnight in Mumbai.
Day 03: Mumbai - Goa
Post breakfast, you are transferred from your hotel to the airport in time for your flight to Goa. An option is flight 9W475 which departs Mumbai at 12:05 hours and arrives into Goa at 13:05 hours. On arrival, you are received at the airport and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free at leisure. Goa is the most comprehensive beach resort in the country. 451 years of Portuguese rule has imbued Goa's towns and villages with a unique culture. The capital city Panjim city and the township of Margao have private houses and government buildings that date back to Portuguese times. Goa possesses a heady blend of serenity and excitement down its 100 km coastline, studded with some of the world's most beautiful beaches including Calangute, Colva, Baga, Dona Paula and Bogmalo. Day 05: Goa - Delhi
This morning you are transferred from your hotel to the airport in time for your flight to Delhi. We recommend flight AI866 departing Goa at 07:10 hours and arriving into Delhi at 11:10 hours. On arrival, you are received at the airport and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 06: Delhi
Embark on a sightseeing tour of Old Delhi this afternoon. Begin with a visit to the 17th century Jama Mosque, followed by a drive past the Red Fort which was built by Emperor Shah Jahan, creator of the Taj Mahal. Then onward to Raj Ghat, the site of the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. In the afternoon, set off on a sightseeing tour of New Delhi. Begin with a drive past Safdarjang's Tomb (1753 AD) when en route to the striking 73m high Qutab Minar (1193 AD). Within the Qutab complex, amidst the ruins of Quwat-ul-Islam mosque, stands the Iron Pillar which has stood the vagaries of weather and has not rusted for over 1500 years. Continue your tour to visit Humayun's Tomb. Later drive through the Embassy area, Diplomatic enclave, stop for a quick photo shoot at India Gate and Rashtrapati Bhawan (formerly Viceroy's House) and Connaught Place, New Delhi's main shopping area. Day 07: Delhi - Agra
Enjoy a hearty breakfast before you drive to Agra (210 kms/5 hours). Upon arrival, drop in at your hotel / conference venue.
